OK- we're not going to do too much talking about what other folks have reported from Eurobike, the first trade show of the fall season, but there were a couple of items we couldn't resist. Besides, we'll be at Interbike in two weeks' time testing our awesomeness-seeking skills. Until then:

New E2: Giro's has released a new top-level XC helmet, to sit above the venerable E2. The E2 is a fantastic helmet and has been around for a dog's age- there have been multiple generations of road (Atmos, Ionos) and all-mountain (Xen, Hex) released since it's introduction. Not that it needed replacing, but it's nice to see them catering to normal, all-around riders again. Aesthetically, they haven't really pushed the boat too far from shore. Thankfully, at ~$150 (80 GBP), it won't be absurdly expensive, either. Pre-order or look at the colors (I'll have the Ti) here...

Of course, all that's old is new again. Seems that folks like myself, who didn't have the change for pimp ano parts the first time around may get another chance. Sadly, Phil Wood's purple hubs are only shown in a track (fixed gear) version, but much like girl jeans, I see this trickling down to the rest of us. No, those Jordache don't look silly on you... Thanks to Singletrack for unwittingly providing this shot.
